FAQ: How many models do you need before your book is done?

I have no idea, since I would like to be in the book myself. I could be the 110th model, I could be the 150th, the 200th... who knows?

Creating this book is a journey for me, it's more about the women and babies I meet along the path than the end, the published book. I have been walking this path of fertility for nearly 4 years now, and painting women for this art project for over 2 years. It has been a wonderful balm for my soul to visit with so many pregnant and postpartum mamas and adorn them with beautiful body art.

It's my intention to conceive our child and have a healthy pregnancy, ending in a natural home birth and a healthy baby. I look forward to painting my pregnant belly, layer upon layer, as well as having my daughters and friends adorn me. After my baby is born I will henna my hands and the last photo in the book will be of me holding our baby.

Watch my blog and you'll see how I'm coming along. God willing, you'll see as I get closer and closer to completing this book.

For now, some photos of a design of my own that I'm developing. My dear husband Rob took these photos for me. :)
